Final Preparatory Meeting for Kohla Visit- 2026 concluded

on Saturday, 28 March 2026, the final preparatory meeting for the Kohla Visit- 2026 was successfully held, generating a sense of enthusiasm and anticipation among participants. The meeting took place virtually via Zoom under the chairmanship of the President Capt. (Retd) Dem Bahadur Yoja Tamu, with the attendance of Executive Committee members, advisors, Khegies, Aama Samuh representatives and area representatives.


During the meeting, the President outlined the overall plan for the visit, including the daily schedule and travel arrangements. The visit is scheduled to take place over six days, from 19th April to 24 April, with the route planned via Bhujung village. The visit will be led by the President Capt. (Retd) Dem Bahadur Yoja Tamu.


The President clarified that the purpose of this visit is to observe and explore the ancient places where our ancestors once settled, journeying through dense jungle landscapes that hold deep historical and cultural significance. It is an opportunity to reconnect with our heritage, trace the footsteps of our forebears and gain a deeper understanding of their way of life.


The visit will also focus on discovering historical remnants and old debris that reflect the legacy of past settlements, offering valuable insights into our origins. At the same time, the journey embraces a spirit of adventure, encouraging exploration, learning and unique experiences in challenging natural environments, making it both a meaningful cultural expedition and an enriching adventurous endeavour.


To ensure effective management, responsibilities have been clearly divided into key areas: administration, finance, secretarial and ritual coordination. Administrative tasks will be managed by Second Vice President Amar Tohrje Tamu and Krishna Bahadur Tamu. Financial responsibilities have been assigned to Advisors Som Tohrje Tamu and Nanda Yoja Tamu. Secretarial responsibilities will be handled by the Secretary Bheg chahkli Tamu, with support from Suk Bahadur Sarbuja Tamu as required.


All necessary communications and formal letters will be sent promptly to those involved in the arrangements. The Secretary will maintain close coordination with all responsible parties to ensure that preparations are carried out smoothly and effectively.
